With new applications for Android, iPhone and Blackberry in the struggle for media attention and consumer dollars, the pressure to get apps built, tested and implemented has been, never been greater. But the test, methods for Web and Desktop App company (in-house QA, offshore companies, emulators / simulators, beta testers have worked etc.) do not meet the QA requirements of mobile applications. The test has become matrices in the mobile app world are much too complex. Companies need to test their apps on mobile phone manufacturer, handset model, carrier, OS and browser.
